FULLERTON, CA - Hope International is proud to announce its plans to compete at the NAIA in level in Competitive Dance during the 2017-18 academic year and onward. The Royals have hired Jennifer Maletto to help start the program and plan to be competitive already in their first season with their sights set on the NAIA Nationals to be held in Oklahoma City, OK.

Coach Maletto became the newest addition to the Royals' coaching staff in August this year after taking over the Cheer program and will now direct the Competitive Dance program as well. Maletto joined for the 2016-17 academic year as the new head coach of the Cheer team and will coach both programs going forward - at this time only the Dance team will compete at the NAIA level.

Originally from Maryland, Coach Maletto was trained by master instructors in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Tap. Throughout her youth, she performed nationally and internationally. She attended Towson University where she continued her training and received a BFA in Dance Performance with a minor in Business Administration.

While in college, Coach Maletto danced for four years on the 17-time national champion Towson University Dance Team and was team captain for one year. After graduating, Maletto moved to Tokyo, Japan where she worked as an aerialist in "Mystic Rhythms" at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Now residing in Orange County, she performs daily in the stage show "Mickey and the Magical Map" at the Disneyland Resort and is working towards her Masters in Education.
