FULLERTON, Calif.- John Turek, HIU Athletic Director, is excited to announce the addition of Britney Sok as the new Interim Head Coach of the Men's and Women's Golf Programs. Sok spent the 2020 fall season as an Assistant Coach under former Head Coach Dan Mulville.

"I wanted to thank the University and our Athletic Director, John Turek, for giving me the opportunity to be a part of a great program," said Sok.  "Being able to coach such a talented group of men and women student-athletes is a passion of mine and is not taken lightly. I will do everything I can to make sure each athlete will be pushed to be the best student-athlete and servant leader they can be."

Before coaching at HIU, Sok spent four years as a student-athlete on the Women's Golf team at Cal State University Fullerton. She has also taught beginning golf at CSUF for the past two years, along with private lessons from various ages (5-80).

Sok inherits a men's and women's squad that she is familiar with and helped excel this past fall season. She helped the women's team capture two team wins, a second-place individual finish, and multiple top-five individual finishes. On the men's side, she helped coach Carter Anderson to an individual win at Rustic Canyon. Sok and the Royals will be set to get back to work after the new year, looking to continue their success from the fall season.
